Brew Truck Overview

??? As far as I know, the Brew Truck is one of a kind. The brew truck is a self contained mobile brewery capable of? transporting the brewing equipment and ingredients, necessary for brewing up to?55 gallons (almost 2 barrels) of beer to any location. Two stainless steel?60 gallon tanks sit atop a custom steel frame that mounts into the 2" receiving hitch on the rear of my 2003 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. Collapsing stabilizer legs are mounted to the outside corners of the Brewing platform to help steady the brewery when in use. The total weight supported by the platform when fully loaded is estimated at 800 lbs. The Hot liquor tank is located in the back of the truck, and can be heated using the integral electric spa heating element, or via a propane burner. The wort is transferred through the 5/8"? naglene tubing by a March MDX-MT3 magnetic drive pump. More details and construction diagrams can be found here.

Big batches of beer require more yeast than a typ 5 gallon batch. Here are 3 yeast starters in 2,000 ML flasks,? propagated from a keg of Penn Weizen. They will be a full 2,000 Ml after a few more feedings.
